The St. Peter’s College team will be led by former Sri Lanka Under 18 skipper Vishenka Silva along with Vice Captains Emith Jayaweera and Shenuka Perera as deputies.
The Peterites are the defending champions of the Schools Rugby League after an undisputed title race last year under talisman Dulaj Navodya.
This year, the outfit faced their biggest setback against Wesley in the group stage (23-5) and later went down fighting 27-24 against Royal. However, they are in the top-six race for the Cup Championship even though their hopes of laying their hands on the title seem unlikely.
The Peterites have a great and rich rugby culture dating back to 1932, becoming the fifth school to take up rugby in Sri Lanka after Kingswood, Trinity, Royal, and Zahira.
