The Consumer Affairs Authority (CAA) has initiated legal action against traders in Marawila for selling Samba rice above the maximum retail price.

The traders were identified during a special inspection carried out yesterday (14).

The CAA said multiple violations were detected, and cases have been filed under consumer protection laws.

Consumers have been advised to check the maximum retail price when purchasing essential goods.
