A bus and a tipper truck collided on the Colombo-Batticaloa main road in Batu Oya, Minneriya, at around 3:00 a.m. today (2), injuring 26 people, police stated. 

The injured were admitted to Polonnaruwa, Minneriya, and Hingurakgoda hospitals, with several in critical condition. 

Minneriya Police are investigating.
