Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) Member of Parliament Namal Rajapaksa has confirmed that a public rally will be held in Nugegoda on 21 November to remind the government of its unfulfilled promises.

Speaking after a discussion yesterday(12), Rajapaksa emphasised that the rally aims to press for the government's pledges, with many people affected by current policies expected to attend.

The rally marks a broader opposition effort, with the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP), the United National Party (UNP), and several other parties agreeing to join the event. 

Discussions on wider opposition party participation are ongoing.
