Sri Lanka has recorded a total of 154,609 tourist arrivals so far in December, the Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA) reported.
Visitors from India led the numbers with 35,337 arrivals, accounting for 23% of the total. Other notable arrivals include 15,674 from Russia, 12,961 from the United Kingdom, 10,682 from Germany, and 8,810 from Australia.
For the year 2025, the total number of tourists visiting Sri Lanka has reached 2,258,202. India remains the largest source market with 510,133 visitors, followed by the UK (204,703), Russia (174,267), Germany (141,941), and China (129,403).
The figures reflect continued growth in Sri Lanka’s tourism sector, highlighting its recovery and increasing global appeal.
