As U.S. Ambassador to Sri Lanka Julie Chung departs Sri Lanka today (16), the U.S. Embassy has announced that Deputy Chief of Mission Jayne Howell will serve as Chargé d’Affaires ad interim. 

She will oversee embassy operations until the arrival of a new U.S. Ambassador to Sri Lanka.
