Senior Deputy Inspector General(SCIG) of Police Waruna Jayasundera has filed a writ petition before the Court of Appeal seeking an order preventing his arrest without reasonable cause in connection with investigations into the Easter Sunday attacks.

The Inspector General of Police and the Attorney General have been named as respondents in the petition.

The application relates to ongoing investigations linked to the Easter Sunday terrorist attacks.
