A delegation from the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC), led by Chairman Yang Wanming, met Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism Minister Vijitha Herath today(12) in Colombo. 

Yang reaffirmed China’s long-standing friendship with Sri Lanka, pledging continued support in economic and cultural sectors.

The CPAFFC has donated RMB 580,000 to assist communities affected by recent disasters. 

Minister Herath expressed gratitude for China’s consistent aid, highlighting its importance during emergencies, including the response to Cyclone Ditwah. 

He also noted expectations of Chinese support for rebuilding roads, bridges, railways and other infrastructure in affected areas.
