Police have arrested a 39-year-old man in the Kuruppumulla area of Panadura for possessing a foreign-manufactured revolver, ammunition and crystal methamphetamine, known as ‘Ice’.

Officers from Panadura South Police Station recovered the firearm, 49 rounds of T-56 ammunition and nine rounds of 9mm ammunition during a search operation.

Police also found 4.28 grams of ‘Ice’ and a digital scale allegedly used for weighing narcotics.

Further investigations are underway.
