Myanmar has donated 500 metric tons (10,000 bags) of rice to Sri Lanka, recently affected by cyclone Ditwah.

The donation was marked at a ceremony in Yangon Port, attended by Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein and other officials.

Sri Lanka’s Ambassador to Myanmar, Prabashini Ponnamperuma, received the donation and expressed gratitude on behalf of the government and people.
