The event, attended by officials from Excel Restaurants and Browns Group, set the stage for a night filled with festive cheer, foreshadowing the enchanting journey that awaited.
All-new experience
This year, Snow World unveils an all-new North Pole experience, transforming the dome into a celestial canvas. A starry galaxy backdrop sets the scene for a life-sized Santa sleigh, surrounded by majestic reindeer. Towering snowmen stand guard, beckoning visitors into a magical adventure that transcends the boundaries of reality. The dome becomes a portal to a world where frosty festivities know no bounds.
As we stepped through the entrance of Snow World this year, a wave of anticipation and wonder washed over us. The air was tinged with a crispness that hinted at the magical spectacle awaiting inside. The transformed dome unveiled itself like a portal to a winter realm, with the North Pole experience stretching out before the crowds. The starry galaxy backdrop created an ethereal ambiance, and the life-sized Santa sleigh, surrounded by regal reindeer, stood as a testament to the immersive enchantment within. Navigating through the snow-laden landscape, each step was met with a delightful crunch, and the soft glow of twinkling lights illuminated the path ahead. Speaking about the transformed Snow World, Excel Restaurant Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Pulinda Fernando expressed: “As we unveil the transformed Snow World at Excel World, we’re not just offering an experience; we’re crafting a celebration of joy, family, and the unique charm of winter right here in Colombo. Our goal is to transport every visitor into a magical realm, capturing the enchantment of the North Pole within the heart of our city.”
Snow World promises a month-long celebration open to the public until 31 December, from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. But the enchantment doesn’t stop there. Excel World will host a Festive Carnival starting from 15 December, featuring thrilling games and entertainment that add a dash of excitement to the winter festivities.
“Excel World is fully geared to take festive celebrations to the next level with delightful hampers and Christmas goodies, spaces for seasonal parties, and carnivals,” added Fernando, hinting at the plethora of experiences awaiting visitors.
