The Court of Appeal (CA) extended an interim injunction against unauthorised constructions near the ‘Alawi Mawlana’ reception hall in Colombo 10 until 1 April 2025.

The injunction was issued in response to a petition filed by residents opposing constructions allegedly linked to former United National Party (UNP) Colombo Municipal Councillor (CMC) Kithsiri Rajapaksa.

The court also directed both parties to report progress on the case by 1 April, encouraging an amicable resolution.
