The Sri Lanka Police have urged the public to exercise caution online following a rise in financial scams targeting citizens through social media platforms such as Facebook, WhatsApp, and Telegram. 

Fraudsters are deceiving individuals into revealing bank details, passwords, OTPs, and QR codes, often under the pretext of job offers, investment schemes, lotteries, or relationship scams.
