Telephone and internet services disrupted by recent landslides and flooding are expected to be fully restored by tomorrow(03), the Deputy Minister of Digital Economy Eranga Weeraratne stated. 

He noted that provincial fibre links were damaged at 11 points, with nine restored within 24 hours. About 4,000 transmission towers were affected, and 2,800 are now operational, while 949 remain inactive mainly due to power outages. 

Restoration work continues in Nuwara Eliya, Badulla, Puttalam and Vavuniya, with Nuwara Eliya and Kandy the most affected. 

The minister stated more than 80% of disruptions had been resolved.
