In honor of the Sri Lanka Army’s 76th anniversary, five Brigadiers have been promoted to the rank of Major General.

The promotions were approved by President Anura Kumara Dissanayake, following recommendations from the Defence Secretary and the Army Commander, in recognition of the officers who were injured in action and made supreme sacrifices.
