Former First Lady Shiranthi Rajapaksa has been produced before the Hulftsdorp court after being arrested by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC).

She was arrested this morning (7) at her residence on Poorwarama Road in Kirulapone after officers recorded a statement from her for nearly two hours.

According to the Bribery Commission, she was taken into custody over allegations of financial irregularities and transactions involving an account linked to the Siriliya Saviya Fund.
