The Sri Lanka Navy has rescued a critically injured crew member from a Marshall Islands-flagged cargo vessel off the Southern coast this morning (1).

The crew member sustained a serious head injury in an onboard accident aboard the MV Spirit of Tokyo.

A Navy Fast Attack Craft transferred the injured man ashore near Galle Harbour. He was subsequently admitted to a private hospital in Galle for treatment.
