The Cabinet of Ministers approved several senior management appointments in departments under the Ministry of Finance, Planning, and Economic Development.

Accordingly, M.K. Pradeep Kumara was appointed as Director General of the Department of Trade and Investment Policy, and P.M.K. Hettiarachchi will serve as Acting Director General of the Department of Development Finance.

Wimal S.K. Liyanagama was appointed as Director General of the Department of Management Services, while S.H.D. Kaluthanthri was appointed to the Ministry of Public Administration.

U.L. Udaya Kumara Perera was appointed as Commissioner General of Excise, with U.D.N. Jayaweera returning to the Inland Revenue Department (IRD).
