Authorities have prepared contingency plans to ensure the uninterrupted conduct of the 2026 Grade 5 Scholarship and G.C.E. Advanced Level examinations amid adverse weather forecasts.
A special discussion involving the Department of Meteorology, Disaster Management Centre (DMC) and Department of Examinations was held today (05).
The DMC will establish a special unit to monitor and respond to weather-related impacts on examinations on 6, 7 and 8 August, while boats and disaster response teams have been placed on standby.
The Grade 5 Scholarship Examination is scheduled for 9 August, while the A/L Examination will be held from 10 August to 5 September.
