You’ll hardly come across any negative comments, whether online or offline, about these strawberry pots. I’m quite serious.

A quick introduction to the Borough Market, London: Borough Market, London was established back in 1756 and it is run by a charitable trust for the benefit of the community. A while ago, it was a big market for local sellers in south London. Now, it’s known for promoting sustainable food, shorter supply chains, and bringing people together, attracting visitors from everywhere.
Back to the Turnips strawberry stall: Visit the Turnips stall, pay first, select your cup, hand it over to the stall attendant, and they will fill it with gooey chocolate-covered strawberries. Then, enjoy. Each cup contains 12-15 fresh strawberries. The price of one pot can vary from £7.50 to £8.50 depending on the time of year.
Here’s a tip: The chocolate hardens quickly, so it’s best to eat it as fast as you can. Also, you might prefer eating it near the entrance or on the go.
In late 2023, Borough Market banned a stall because they didn’t think it fit into their category of ‘fruit, veg, or related produce’. People online got really mad about this and complained a lot. Because of all the complaints on social media, Borough Market changed its mind and allowed the stall selling Turnips with chocolate-covered strawberries open again after five days.
Yet even after they lifted the ban for some time, there was an issue where people could not share the Turnips’ strawberry pots photos on Instagram.
Turnips has even branched out to open its restaurant with chef Tomas Lidakevicius. They've also published a cookbook.
