Beauty by Rosh makes history at Australian Fashion Week 2026

12 May 2026

Beauty by Rosh has secured official makeup partnerships with designers Gary Bigeni and Karla Spetic at Australian Fashion Week (AFW) 2026, marking another milestone for the independent Australian beauty brand.

The achievement follows the brand’s appearance at London Fashion Week earlier this year, where founder Rosh Kumarasinghe became the first South Asian beauty entrepreneur to sponsor four designers on the main schedule.

The latest announcement places Beauty by Rosh among the official beauty partners at AFW 2026, alongside established global cosmetics brands. Founded in 2020, the brand has grown from a YouTube platform into an internationally recognised cosmetics label that is vegan, cruelty-free and designed for a wide range of skin tones.

Beauty by Rosh will serve as the official makeup partner for both the Gary Bigeni and Karla Spetic runway shows, marking the highest number of partnerships secured by an independent South Asian-owned makeup brand at AFW in a single season.

For the Gary Bigeni show at Sydney’s Museum of Contemporary Art, Rosh Kumarasinghe will take on the role of Makeup Director, leading a backstage team of 10 artists. Toni & Guy will serve as the official hair partner for the show.

“This is more than a business partnership. Gary and I have both been through so much in life. To stand backstage together at AFW, doing what we love means everything,” said Beauty by Rosh Founder Rosh Kumarasinghe.

Beauty by Rosh will also serve as the official makeup partner for Karla Spetic’s runway show on 13 May, one of the established shows on the AFW calendar.

The partnerships also highlight the growing visibility of independent beauty brands within international fashion platforms.

“This season marks Beauty by Rosh's third international fashion week, following its historic appearance at London Fashion Week as the first Australian makeup brand and Rosh as the first South Asian beauty entrepreneur to sponsor designers on the LFW main schedule,” the company stated.

“These partnerships are proof that an independently run, South Asian-owned Australian beauty brand can stand in the same room as the biggest names in the industry and belong there. I hope this opens doors for other brands who are told to wait their turn,” added Rosh Kumarasinghe.
