The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has agreed to provide support for Sri Lanka Customs’ paperless Customs Declaration Processing System, scheduled to begin on 1 October 2026.

Sri Lanka Customs officials briefed IMF representatives today (11) on the system, public awareness programmes and technical readiness.

The IMF representatives commended the preparations and agreed to provide the necessary support for the system’s implementation.
