Relief teams from the United Arab Emirates have concluded their humanitarian mission in Sri Lanka following Cyclone Ditwah and related landslides.
Acting under the directives of President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the teams delivered 116 tonnes of emergency assistance, including food supplies, tents and relief kits.
The UAE Search and Rescue Team also conducted specialised operations, recovering 20 bodies of missing persons and providing first aid to eight people with minor injuries, in coordination with local authorities.
The UAE said the mission reflects its commitment to supporting communities affected by natural disasters.
