Sri Lanka’s national football team claimed an international win, defeating Brunei 1-0 in a FIFA International Friendly held in Bangkok.

The tightly contested match saw no goals in the first half, with Leon Perera breaking the deadlock in the 57th minute.

Currently ranked 200th, Sri Lanka overcame a higher-ranked Brunei side (185th), marking their first win over them since a 5-1 triumph in 2009.
