The University Grants Commission (UGC) has announced plans to construct new hostel facilities across seven universities. 

These new hostels are expected to accommodate at least 2,400 students, addressing the critical shortage of residential facilities for university students.

The project will be overseen by the Ministry of Education and aims to provide better living arrangements for students, enhancing their academic experience and overall well-being.
