The Central Crimes Investigation Bureau (CCIB) has obtained a 90-day detention order to further interrogate alleged drug trafficker Shiran Basik.

Basik was deported to Sri Lanka from Dubai on 14 August 2026.

The detention order will allow investigators to continue questioning him over alleged drug trafficking activities.
