Prime Minister(PM) Harini Amarasuriya has called on Sri Lankans to unite with compassion and shared responsibility as the country works towards recovery and a better future.
In her Christmas Day message, she said the season was being marked amid sorrow following a recent natural disaster, but noted that people had set aside differences to support those affected, reflecting the true meaning of Christmas.
The Prime Minister said Sri Lanka stood at a critical juncture where all communities must work together to rebuild the nation.
She urged citizens to renew their commitment to unity, love and responsibility in pursuit of a better tomorrow.
