A warm weather advisory has been issued for Western, Sabaragamuwa, North-Central, Southern, North-Western provinces and Monaragala, Mannar, Vavuniya, and Mullaitivu districts.

The heat index is expected to reach the ‘Caution Level’ in some areas tomorrow (19), according to the Department of Meteorology.

Authorities noted that prolonged sun exposure may cause fatigue and heat cramps, and advised the public to stay hydrated and limit outdoor activity.
