Sri Lanka Customs has agreed to release 506 BYD electric vehicles that were previously detained.

The decision, which was confirmed today in the Court of Appeal, is contingent on the importer, John Keells Holdings PLC, providing additional bank guarantees.

The agreement was reached during the hearing of a petition filed by the company.
