A major stakeholder in the ruling National People’s Power (NPP) Government, the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP) has condemned what it described as U.S military aggression against Venezuela, including the alleged abduction of President Nicolás Maduro and his wife.
In a statement issued today (04), the JVP said the future and leadership of Venezuela must be decided by its people, stressing that military intervention violates sovereignty, democracy and international norms.
The statement was issued by the JVP’s Political Bureau.
