China managed to win the runner-up title while Japan managed to win the overall title of the Under-20 Asian Athletics Championship held in Incheon, South Korea.

Sri Lanka won two gold medals, one silver medal, and two bronze medals in this year's Asian Championship. Sri Lanka finished 7th on the medal table. 

Shehan Dilranga participated in the 1500 m event representing Sri Lanka and finished in 9th place. He clocked 4:10.20 minutes.

Tharushi Karunaratne managed to win the first place in the list of the most medal winners of this year's tournament by winning two gold medals and one silver medal.
