A warm weather advisory has been issued for several parts of the country, including Sabaragamuwa, Northern, North-Central, North-Western, Eastern provinces, and the districts of Colombo, Gampaha, Hambantota and Monaragala.

The Meteorology Department said the heat index is expected to rise to “Caution Level” in these areas during the daytime tomorrow (06).

The department warned that prolonged sun exposure and outdoor activity may lead to fatigue and heat cramps.

The public has been advised to stay hydrated and limit strenuous outdoor activities.
