A promotional video featuring Australian cricketers mocking India's recent handshake controversy with Pakistan has been deleted after an online backlash.

The clip, produced by Kayo Sports, joked about India's refusal to shake hands during the Asia Cup. 

Players, including Mitchell Marsh and Sophie Molineux, were seen making insulting gestures, with Molineux shown raising her middle finger.

The video quickly drew criticism for being disrespectful ahead of India's upcoming series against Australia. 

Kayo Sports removed the post from its social media channels but did not issue an official statement. 

The teams are scheduled to meet in a limited-overs series later this month.
