Sri Rahula College, Katugastota took major honours against their traditional rivals, Sri Sumangala in their 26th Kandy Battle of the Golds, big match which concluded at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium yesterday (9).

Highlight of the game was a fine century by Sri Rahula skipper, Vishal Gardivasam who stroked 149. Sumangala taking lease of the wicket were shot out for 159 and following on ended on 155 for 5 at stumps on day 2.

The tally stands at five wins for lads from Katugastota while the remaining 21 being drawn encounters.
