The Government is considering an integrated digital database for the Praja Shakthi national programme, which aims to eradicate poverty, particularly in rural communities.

Discussions on the proposed system were held on October 13 at the Ministry of Rural Development, Social Security and Community Empowerment under the patronage of Minister Dr Upali Pannila.

Officials discussed bringing relevant data onto a single digital platform to identify development needs and priorities, support rural development planning and establish an effective implementation mechanism.
