Water supply to several areas in Katugastota will be suspended for 48 hours from 9.00 a.m. today (6) due to essential maintenance work at the Katugastota Water Treatment Plant, the National Water Supply and Drainage Board (NWSDB) announced.

The interruption will continue until 9.00 a.m. on 8 October.

The affected areas are Uduwawala, Rajapihilla and Gonigoda.

The public has been requested to use stored water sparingly during the interruption.
