The Police Media Division stated that Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Ruwan Gunasekara has been appointed as the Acting Police Media Spokesman. 

This appointment took place as the Police Media Spokesman DIG Nihal Thalduwa’s departure abroad. 

DIG Nihal Thalduwa will resume working as the Police Media Spokesman upon his return to the island.
