The total number of dengue cases reported in Sri Lanka so far this year has risen to 98,081, according to the National Dengue Control Unit (NDCU).

A total of 2,590 cases have been reported during September so far, while 74 dengue-related deaths have been recorded this year.

The Western Province has recorded the highest number of cases, with 51,679 reported so far.

Meanwhile, 35 Medical Officer of Health (MOH) divisions across the country remain identified as high-risk dengue zones.
