Minister of Health, Nalinda Jayathissa, met with Bangladesh’s newly appointed Prime Minister, Tarique Rahman, during his visit to Dhaka for the swearing-in ceremony of the new Government.

During the cordial meeting, Minister Jayathissa conveyed warm congratulations on behalf of the Government and the people of Sri Lanka to Prime Minister Rahman on his appointment. 

The two leaders discussed ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation, with particular emphasis on advancing collaborations in the pharmaceutical and tourism sectors.

Earlier in the day, Minister Jayathissa attended the official swearing-in ceremony of Prime Minister Rahman, reaffirming Sri Lanka’s support and good wishes for the new Bangladeshi government.
