Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) MP Namal Rajapaksa has emphasised the urgent need for stronger regional cooperation in South Asia, highlighting India’s central role in maintaining long-term peace.
Citing political turmoil in Bangladesh, Nepal, and Sri Lanka, often fuelled by extremist elements, Rajapaksa called for collective action to counter these challenges.
He expressed hope that upcoming elections in the region would help reaffirm democratic legitimacy and strengthen security.
