A 45-year-old resident of Sithamparapuram in Vavuniya, has been attacked to death with a garden hoe, allegedly by his son-in-law after a dispute between them had escalated on Monday (6) evening, according to the Police.
The deceased, who had been living by himself after separating from his wife, had succumbed to critical injuries after being attacked with a garden hoe by his son-in-law while the latter’s friend had also attacked the victim with a helmet.
The victim’s body has been placed at the Vavuniya District General Hospital’s mortuary, while the two suspects, aged 22 and 24, have been apprehended in connection with the incident, the Police said.
