- We will support the candidate who will empower the people aligned with our ‘deshaya wenuwen ekwana piyawarak’ prog.
Eksath Janaraja Peramuna leader Parliamentarian Patali Champika Ranawaka challenged the National People’s Power (malimawa), stating that they have forgotten to include Minister of Public Security Tiran Alles, who sold Sri Lankan boundaries to a Indian kiosk, from their list of thieves. He challenged the ‘maliamawa’ to declare Alles as a ‘thief.’
He expressed his views at the public rally held on 11 August, at the Piliyandala Municipal Council auditorium.
Addressing the public gathered at the rally, MP Patali Champika Ranawaka further stated:
“Gotabaya and racist supporters didn’t leave peacefully - they dragged down the 22 million Sri Lankan population to beggars level. To beg money from the Tamil Nadu beggars to buy fuel.
The courts given the verdict that Mahinda Rajapaksa, Gotabaya Rajapaksa, Basil Rajapaksa are responsible for bankrupting Sri Lanka. We stress that it is not only them, but all their supporters who deceived Sri Lankans are responsible.
We are thankful for selecting Namal Rajapaksa to the place. Otherwise people might have thought SLPP deceived people to a Casino businessman. Finally Dhammika Perera had to leave like no one. We should be happy to see Namal Rajapaksa on the list, so that we can democratically express our anger and hatred towards Mahinda Rajapaksa.
Let us be determined to teach the lesson to Mahinda Rajapaksa, which he did not gather on 9 May and 9 July in 2022.
The patriots who run around the country with heaps of files on corruption have forgotten to mention the $ 2.7 million biggest corruption and the name of the responsible person, the Minister of Public Security.
We will not be silent until the culprits face the law. They will use their media to attack us. But we will not be afraid. We will fight until justice is served.
We appeal from the public not to cast their vote to those who knocked down the country. We will use this Presidential Election platform to educate people on these corrupts.
The leader of the country needs a good team. There is no space to experiment in that team. Without repeating the unsuccessful experiments of history, this country needs to be in the hands of qualified experts.
Based on these we are deciding on the Presidential candidate and within the next few days we will declare who that will be.”
Following MP Ranawaka’s address, regional and electoral level leaders of the Eksath Janaraja Peramuna Party address the gathering.
