The Navy arrested 12 Indian fishermen off the coast of Point Pedro, for trespassing into Sri Lankan waters.
During the arrests, one vessel belonging to these Indian fishermen, was also seized.
According to the Navy, a total of 497 Indian fishermen were arrested so far in 2024, and 66 vessels were seized during the same period.
