The Department of Meteorology stated that showers or thundershowers may occur at a few places in the Galle, Matara, Kalutara and Ratnapura districts after 2.00 p.m. today (09).

Mainly fair weather is expected elsewhere in the island.

Misty conditions may occur in parts of the Sabaragamuwa, Central and North-Central provinces, as well as in the Badulla and Kurunegala districts during the early morning hours.

The public is advised to take necessary precautions against temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
