Defence Secretary Air Vice Marshal Sampath Thuyacontha (Retd) paid his inaugural visit to the Sri Lanka Army Headquarters at the Defence Complex in Sri Jayawardenepura, Kotte, yesterday (28).

Received with a Guard of Honour by Major General Chamila Munasinghe, he was welcomed by Army Commander Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage. 

During discussions, AVM Thuyacontha praised the Army’s commitment to national security and its role in development and crisis response. 

The event concluded with a commemorative entry in the Visitors' Book and an exchange of mementos.
