It is reported that former vice captain and striker of the Sri Lankan football team, Waseem Razeek, is to enter the inter-club championship in Hong Kong.

Accordingly, Waseem is reported to play for the Eastern District Sports Club in Hong Kong this year. Apart from Waseem, Indian and English players also play in this sports club, which competes in the second tier of the Main Division of Hong Kong. 

Born in Berlin, Germany, Waseem was selected for the Sri Lankan team in the latter half of 2018. In 2019, Waseem also managed to score nine goals to become the highest scorer in South Asia.
