Motorists using the Electronic Toll Collection (ETC) system on the Colombo–Katunayake Expressway will receive a 10% discount on toll charges, the Ministry of Transport, Highways and Urban Development announced.

The initiative aims to encourage the use of ETC and provide a faster, more convenient toll payment experience.

Dedicated ETC lanes are available at the Peliyagoda, Kerawalapitiya, Ja-Ela and Katunayake interchanges, with plans to extend the facility to the Kadawatha interchange.

The Ministry also noted that vehicle owners can now register online through the RDA’s portal, making it easier to obtain an RFID tag and activate the ETC service for seamless expressway travel.
