Minister of Transport, Highways and Urban Development Bimal Rathnayake visited the Madampitiya Applewatta Housing Complex to oversee its progress under the Urban Regeneration Programme. 

The project, which includes 2,100 housing units, is being carried out with financial support from the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB).

Deputy Minister of Urban Development Eranga Gunasekara and several officials joined the inspection. 

This housing development is part of the government’s broader initiative to revamp urban areas and provide better housing solutions for low-income families.
