The National People’s Power (NPP) has secured a significant victory in the Galle Municipal Council.

NPP garnered 20,330 votes, winning 17 seats, while the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) obtained 9 seats with 12,308 votes.

The United National Party (UNP) won 5 seats with 7,106 votes, and the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) secured 3 seats with 3,725 votes.

The People’s Alliance (PA) earned 2 seats with 1,887 votes.
