Around 90% of private buses are expected to be withdrawn from service today (22), the Lanka Private Bus Owners’ Association stated.

LPBOA President Gemunu Wijeratne noted that the decision follows the fuel price increase announced yesterday (21).

Bus owners have decided not to operate services today.

Operations are expected to resume after a revision of bus fares.
